Coming Sunday
This Sunday is the 18th Sunday After Pentecost. Linda's message will be on “Is the Lord With Us or Not?” The choir will sing “The Fullness of God’s Love.”
There will be a brief congregational meeting right after worship, see below. During Fellowship, we will celebrate the marriage of Aran and Darrell; see below for that also.
In Sunday School this week, Linda will continue sharing her experience with PCUSA General Assembly, and many of the decisions reached there. Please come with questions.
The Deacons will hold their quarterly meeting after Sunday School.

Congregational Meeting There will be a congregational meeting right after the church service on September 27 for members to vote on the slate of church officers presented by the Nominating Committee.
Nominees are Matt Stolte and Bill Rumley for elder, and Rosemary Cole and Pam Stolte for deacons. Barbara Wierwille will continue for another term.
Ann Marie is heading a committee established by the Session that will evaluate the change in Linda's work schedule and report to the Session on a monthly basis.

Celebrate!
On Sunday, September 27, we will be celebrating Aran and Darrell’s nuptials during fellowship time with chocolate cupcakes. Feel free to bring a wedding card if you feel so inclined. |

Grab Some Totes Next Sunday, pick up one or several tote bags. Advertise Northside, help the environment by loading them with your groceries, and support the Monday Night Supper mission with your donation for each bag. These are sturdy cloth bags with shoulder straps, a reinforced handle, and a front pocket. |

Upcoming Services Please mark your calendars with these dates as we remember those who have passed away. A memorial service for Rev. Dr. Hugh Springer, a former pastor of Northside, is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, at 11 a.m. There will also be a memorial service on Saturday, October 31 for long-time member Emily Bender. Both services will be at Northside. Details will be available closer to those dates.

Monday Night Supper The meal on Monday was cheesy baked pasta, salad, bread, fruit cup, and cookies. We served 97 meals. Helpers included Marge and George, Stella, Barbara, Susan, Alex C., and Heidi and Bruce.
Volunteers to help prepare and pack meals are always welcome and needed.
