The Week Ahead and Beyond
This Sunday is the Second Sunday After Pentecost. Linda's message will be on “The Calling.” Liz Allen will be providing the offering of music. We will also celebrate communion and write notes in Caring Cards while enjoying lemonade.
A reminder that the Northside Bible Study will be on Thursday, June 4, at 2:00 p.m. at English Meadows. All are welcome to attend this study and fellowship.
Linda has been selected to be a delegate to the General Assembly from the Presbytery of the Peaks. She will be participating from June 22 until July 3. On Sunday, June 28, Jan McGilliard, a commissioned lay pastor and member of Blacksburg Presbyterian Church, will preach. On Sunday, July 5, Lucian will lead the worship service.

A New Directory is Coming
Work is underway to collect, correct, and update contact information for Northside's members and friends. This includes a check of mailing address, email address, phone numbers, and birthdates (year optional). There are paper copies of directory info in the Narthex to check. Once all the updates are in, a new directory will be available this summer.

|
It is also possible to update your and your family's information on line. Scan the QR code, which will take you to the church page in ChurchTrac. Enter your email address, which will be validated by a code sent to that address. Enter the code, then you will see a list of names of people who can be updated. Click the edit button, update or confirm that the info is correct, then click the "Done with this person" button. Your submission will be reviewed and updates applied.
You can also manage this through your browser.

Monday Night Supper
The meal this week was baked chicken, potato salad, bread, fruit, cookies. Thanks to Alex for covering while the Harpers were in Florida. Helpers included Marshall, Barbara, Marge and George, Linda, and Susan.
Bag Collection: If you have groceries delivered from Kroger, please save the large delivery bags and bring them to the church. If you have friends who get deliveries and don't know what to do with the bags, we can use them. They are the right size to pack multiple meals for delivery to the parking lot. It is a good way to recycle the bags, reducing the need to order brown paper shopping bags.
Volunteers to help prepare and pack meals are always welcome and needed. |
