Weekly eUpdate

The Week Ahead

This Sunday is Trinity Sunday. Linda's message will be on the “Harmony of Creation.” The choir will sing “All Thanks to Our God.”

Following worship, we will have a "Start of Summer" picnic and all are invited. We hope to be outside (weather permitting) beginning at about 11:20 a.m. Fellowship will provide baked chicken, lemonade, water and iced tea. Please bring a side dish and a dessert. Help will be needed to set up tables and chairs, and to set out the food, plates, glasses and silverware. Come to celebrate the beginning of summer season!

A reminder that the Northside Bible Study will be on Thursday, June 4, at 2:00 p.m. at English Meadows. All are welcome to attend this study and fellowship.

Congratulations Newlyweds

Aran Garnett-Deakin and Darrell Storholt were wed in an outdoor ceremony on the family farm on Saturday, May 23. She was walked down the aisle by her father, Doug.

Summer Music

On Sunday, the choir will sing its last anthem until September. Marya is now taking sign-up for special music (or readings, etc.) to add to the service. See Marya to sign up or pick a date on our on-line sign-up form.

A New Directory is Coming

Work is underway to collect, correct, and update contact information for Northside's members and friends. This includes a check of mailing address, email address, phone numbers, and birthdates (year optional). There are paper copies of directory info in the Narthex to check. Once all the updates are in, a new directory will be available this summer.

It is also possible to update your and your family's information on line. Scan the QR code, which will take you to the church page in ChurchTrac. Enter your email address, which will be validated by a code sent to that address. Enter the code, then you will see a list of names of people who can be updated. Click the edit button, update or confirm that the info is correct, then click the "Done with this person" button. Your submission will be reviewed and updates applied.

You can also manage this through your browser.

Monday Night Supper

There was no meal this week due to the Memorial Day holiday.

Bag Collection: If you have groceries delivered from Kroger, please save the large delivery bags and bring them to the church. If you have friends who get deliveries and don't know what to do with the bags, we can use them. They are the right size to pack multiple meals for delivery to the parking lot. It is a good way to recycle the bags, reducing the need to order brown paper shopping bags.

Volunteers to help prepare and pack meals are always welcome and needed.
