Our Mission Statement:
“Northside Presbyterian Church respects and welcomes everyone to walk with us in joyful Christian worship and fellowship. We are called by Jesus Christ to love, celebrate and serve our community and the world: seeking, teaching, learning together.”
Welcome one another, just as Christ has welcomed you,
for the glory of God. (Romans 15:7)
Northside Presbyterian Church began its ministry in Blacksburg over sixty years ago with a commitment to welcome all those God sends, to love, support, and encourage one another on our journey of faith, and to witness to Jesus Christ in our world through our worship, study, fellowship, and community involvement. Today, we continue our mission as grateful and grace-filled followers of Jesus Christ, rejoicing in God’s blessings, celebrating every person as a child of God, and seeking to love God and our neighbor.

The Belhar Confession
In July 2010, the 219th General Assembly approved the Belhar Confession in the Book of Confessions.
The Belhar Confession is a document rooted in the struggle against apartheid in South Africa. It was first drafted in 1982 as a theological confrontation of the sin of racism and division and affirms the unity of the church and among all people, reconciliation within church and society, and God's justice.
The document partly declares "that separation, enmity and hatred between people and groups is sin which Christ has already conquered, and accordingly that anything which threatens this unity may have no place in the church and must be resisted."
